Welcome! I am a sixth-year PhD student at Yale University with primary interests in labor economics and industrial organization. I study education markets using a combination of quasi-experimental and structural methods, with the goal of evaluating policies designed to improve opportunities for students on the margins of higher education.

My recent work studies the productivity of for-profit and public degree pathways for non-traditional college students. The vocational training programs that many of these students pursue often yield significant returns. Yet public programs graduate fewer than half of their students, and for-profit alternatives are significantly more expensive. The supply of affordable vocational training is therefore limited, motivating a core question of my research: how can we expand the supply of high-return vocational programs that students can actually complete?
